The Arizona Chapter of the American College of Surgeons (AzACS) Medical Student Committee (MSC) is a
multicenter collaborative composed of surgery interest groups and surgery clubs from medical schools across Arizona. At present, our partners include:

Our Mission
The mission of the AzACS Medical Student Committee is to connect medical students who are interested in the field of surgery across Arizona, help connect students to surgical mentors across various disciplines, promote undergraduate medical surgical education, and develop partnerships that transcend institutional boundaries to foster multi-center collaboration.
Goals and Objectives
In order to achieve our mission we have delineated specific strategies to connect medical students and surgeons across Arizona, promote education, and foster multi-center collaboration.

Symposium (Annual Conference) Involvement providing an opportunity for networking and research

Champions Program providing mentorship connecting surgeons and medical students

Integrated Skills Lab Series providing surgical education

Online Resource-Sharing (“The Hub”), Advocacy, and Outreach providing professional development and connecting medical students to resources both locally and nationally
